We want to show the community just how diverse we really are, and showcase thetalents of the many ethnic groups who live in Whitehorse. The latest statistics show that about 3,000 immigrants came to the Yukon between 2001 and 2006: 25 per cent from western Europe, 20 per cent from the United States, and 15 per cent from Asia. Immigrants made up 9.6% of the city's population in 2006....
WHFS Annual General Meeting Sunday, Oct. 19th, 2008
A potluck dinner and AGM was held and board members and guests exchanged ideas for the 2009 Festival. A planning session was then held Saturday, Oct. 26th and a vision was created for the 2009 festival.
